I’m an international legal scholar based at the University of Gothenburg. My research focuses on international law and its often contradictory role in a world order marked by climate change, global flows of capital and people, new technologies, and a growing concentration of wealth.
My current research project, Borders and Boundlessness: A Critical Geography of International Law in Global Capitalism, theorizes the relationship between the state-centred system of international law and an increasingly global capitalist economy with a view to understanding the limits and potentials of international law as a tool in addressing the ecological crises of our time.
More broadly, I am interested in international law and its relationship to capitalism. I also have a solid background in general international law and international and European human rights law.
I hold a PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen and an MA in Law from Aarhus University.
